Have I Found A Fossil?

My dad was working and he found this on dug under the ground and he was wondering if it was a fossil, so is it a fossil?

If its not a Trilobite, it looks like a pretty good fake.

Yes, from the early Cambrian, 500+ million years ago, up to the Permian mass extinction, about 250 million years ago, this is a Trilobite.
If brains were made of dynamite, I wouldn't have enough to blow my nose.

Although I haven't messed with trilobites for forty years one look at that and Calymene blumenbachii popped into my head. A quick check online for some images and I think it likely it is a Calymene, though the species is open to question.

Wikipedia notes they ranged from mid-Ordovician to Lower Devonian.
Observe; collate; conjecture; analyse; hypothesise; test; validate; theorise. Repeat until complete.
