The new version of "Explring Black Holes" is online at http://exploringblackholes.com/

If you read it and want to comment on it then I'm sure that the author would love to hear from you. See http://www.eftaylor.com/comments/

I had never contemplated being able to understand GR always considered SR my limit but this publication leads at least to a glimmer of understanding

Isn't there a way to read it all joined together. All I see is a bunch of separate files in alphabetical order. I don't know where I am supposed to read from.

Try 'contents', then look at the pdf:s names.. And remember, holistically it really doesn't matter, one percent will do for a broad understanding :) But I expect it to be cool. I'm saving it for when I have the time to do it justice, and then I will read, and have fun :)

Are they using your glossary of terms this time round?  I can't find it on the list.

No. They decided against having a glossary this time. I argued for it but they decided not to put it in.

It still reminds me of reading the Bible though. A waste of time. I don't think I have ever used any of Einstein's ideas. I use Newton's a bit. I watched a video of Einstein, and it was like watching One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. I know what he means by relativity, but he never actually figured out the physics.. how they work. And I did.

Pincho - stop attempting to drag threads away from their topic and towards your own unique views of physics.   The place to discuss any perceived problems with GR is in New Theories.  If you have a specific question regarding the methodology, maths, or basis of the theory you may post it here in the main forum.

thanks

It didn't seem to me that was what he was trying to do.

I'll have to agree with you Pmb, I didn't get that impression either.

Did either of you actually read the shrunken post?  Because stating that Einstein didn't understand the physics of gravity is about as far off topic as you can get in a post recommending  a GR text book.  Now can we stop discussing moderator action.
