Can my phone affect my health?
« on: 20/03/2014 12:30:01 »
LINDA ROYLANCE asked the Naked Scientists:
A friend recently has become hyper-sensitive and has difficulty using his mobile phone, computer, etc, with symptoms of feeling faint, feeling wired and so on.

Is there any published scientific literature in relation to electromagnetic sensitivity? I read something briefly on the WHO website. It is obviously a controversial area. Any info appreciated. Regards.

What do you think?

I cant answer your question but I remember Dr Karl talking about a phone being near your computer can fry it - that cant be good!

The information we have now does seem to be very contradictory.  I think a lot of the early reports were projected as 'possible harm' but weren't measured. My thought is that its still too early to tell, as the first generation phone addicts are still too young to see any long term effects. ??

Many people walking while chatting on their phones run into objects or even get hit by vehicles I nearly got killed by a nutter in America who was "texting" while driving.
The low power UHF radiation that they produce is quite harmless.
