Yeah I think they are right up my alley! When I was a teenager, this room was Chartrouse with curtains of white background with a bold large floral print, Purple and hot pink flowers with the nice sunshine yellow centers!Might have had some other color flower to, but I can't remember.. The room was great! I love color.. I want this room bright and happy! I also want to be able to lighten the atmosphere with the two hanging lamps on one side or the other of the room so it will soften the lighting when I want it a more relaxed tone..more for restful time..

Yeah, I know what you mean about Bread, I do actually like them but David Gates is the man. My parents went to see him last year I think it was, they ended up buying his lastest cd. I've sort of borrowed it for the past 5 months or so [;)]

I think the album is called Song book or something like that, I'll have a look in a mo

Last night I found a cd that I have been hunting high and low for. It's a pair called Ben Squared. I came across them in the shopping center doing a live busking set and selling their cds at 10 a pop. After hearing them and buying their cd I thought it a real bargain, they are brilliant. One of them plays an electric violin and the other plays an electric cello

Here is their site if youo're interested

http://ben2.net/welcome.htm

If you go to audio check out meditation, it's one of my favs

KAREN MAM,

It's a 31 year old album and unfortunately it was not released as a single off the album  and I can't find the lyrics for it online.

If I get a chance I'll dig the old album out and see if I can write some down here......however..I did find the album on sale at Amazon and they enable you to download a sample of the track to listen too and Itunes has what I think are some variations done by different artists....David Cassidy himself has always done a lot of covers of other peoples songs...

I have had this song in my head for an hour..I found the words! ANYONE  remember this one!

Undercover Angel
By: Alan O'Day
(Alan O'Day)
1977

Yeah yeah
Cryin' on my pillow
Lonely in my bed
Then I heard a voice beside me
And she softly said
"Thunder is your night light
Magic is your dream"
And as I held her she said, "See what I mean?"

Chorus 1:
I said "Whaaaat?"
She said "Ooo-ooo-ooo-wee"
I said "All right!"
She said "Love me, love me, love me"

Chorus 2:
Undercover angel
Midnight fantasy
I never had a dream that made sweet love to me
Undercover angel
The answer to my prayer
You made me know that there's a love for me out there
(Somewhere)
Yeah, somewhere

Heavenly surrender
Sweet afterglow (Undercover)
Givin' up my heart to you
Now, angel, don't go
She said, "Go find the right one
Love her and then
When you look into her eyes
You'll see me again"

Chorus 1

Chorus 2

Now you know my story
And girl, if it's right
I'm gonna take you in my arms
And love you tonight
Underneath the covers
The answer lies
Lookin' for my angel
In your sweet lovin' eyes

Chorus 1

Chorus 2

Undercover angel
Midnight fantasy
I never had a dream that made sweet love to me
Undercover angel
The answer to my prayer
Love me, love me, love me
Undercover angel
Midnight fantasy
I never had a dream that made sweet love to me
Undercover angel
The answer to my prayer
You made me know that there's a love for me out there

I stupidly picked up my Eric Clapton cd while in a semi depressed and thoughtful mind.
Listening to Change the World and River of Tears I was reminded of two girls. The first was Antoinette, Change the world seemed like a great idea, what if I could have done so, would I have made her happy!!?

Change The World
by Tommy Sims, Gordon Kenney and Wayne Kirkpatrick
If I can reach the stars,
Pull one down for you,
Shine it on my heart
So you could see the truth:

That this love I have inside
Is everything it seems.
But for now I find
It's only in my dreams.

And I can change the world,
I will be the sunlight in your universe.
You would think my love was really something good,
Baby if I could change the world.

And if I could be king,
Even for a day,
I'd take you as my queen;
I'd have it no other way.

And our love would rule
This kingdom we had made.
Till then I'd be a fool,
Wishing for the day...

That I can change the world,
I would be the sunlight in your universe.
You would think my love was really something good,
Baby if I could change the world.
Baby if I could change the world.

I could change the world,
I would be the sunlight in your universe.
You would think my love was really something good,
Baby if I could change the world.
Baby if I could change the world.
Baby if I could change the world.

The second would be my ex Rachel. When I had to leave her one time I was listening to this song while on a night time coach home, well in early hours really.

River Of Tears
by Eric Clapton and Simon Climie
It's three miles to the river
That would carry me away,
And two miles to the dusty street
That I saw you on today.

It's four miles to my lonely room
Where I will hide my face,
And about half a mile to the downtown bar
That I ran from in disgrace.

Lord, how long have I got to keep on running,
Seven hours, seven days or seven years?
All I know is, since you've been gone
I feel like I'm drowning in a river,
Drowning in a river of tears.
Drowning in a river.
Feel like I'm drowning,
Drowning in a river.

In three more days, I'll leave this town
And disappear without a trace.
A year from now, maybe settle down
Where no one knows my face.

I wish that I could hold you
One more time to ease the pain,
But my time's run out and I got to go,
Got to run away again.

Still I catch myself thinking,
One day I'll find my way back here.
You'll save me from drowning,
Drowning in a river,
Drowning in a river of tears.
Drowning in a river.
Feels like I'm drowning,
Drowning in the river.
Lord, how long must this go on?

Drowning in a river,
Drowning in a river of tears.

Awwww bless ya  [:X]

Change the world became one of my all time favourites of Eric Clapton. When I do remember the brief time I spent with Antoinette it makes me smile, it's my heart that does the longing. In my head things never end, and things that change are for the best. Change the World for me is like the things I can do in my head. For Antoinette I did pull a star from the sky for her  [:)]
This seems to happen a lot to me though. Certain songs remind me of girls that I have felt for in the past. I think the first song to ever remind me of a girl has to be Don't Speak by No Doubt. I was on holiday and it reminded me of someone. Then after the heart break of that particular girl I had Mariah Carey I Give My All.
Music is so powerful, and for me a great way to remember things I would normally forget. But then there is the downside to that. I use good songs, songs that I like. Sometimes I can listen to them and not think too much about someone, but then, sometimes the song wins me over.

I was listening to David Gates last night and found a song on his album that made me feel really happy. It's kind of odd that it would as in the song he doesn't get to do what he really wants to do, yet he seems fine with it all. In my head I think the song is lovely.

The song is called Sail Around the World

I would sail around the world
Look for gold and dive for pearl
But I know I will never get to go
I would like to win a prize, be in everybody's eyes
But it's true, I would probably not get to

My life has always been simple
No one ever knows when I come and go
And my dreams are ending at sunrise
And dreaming just don't make it so

So I've lived without regrets
Wouldn't change a thing and yet
Now and then, wish that I could start again

I was quite surprised that it made me feel happy perhaps it was my head making a connection with the lyrics and my current feelings. Perhaps somewhere in my unusual head it all make sense  [;)]

Possibility I guess. It sounds like someone who has settled for something less then the dream and the things his heart really wants, and yet our pasts make us who we are, and I agree that I do not want to change anything, but I do want my heart to never give up on my dreams as then I would be giving up on my life..One thing I know from coming from my past bad experiences is that I had to hold on to my dreams in order to get up and go on and to keep trying.. I have been slapped in the face so many times and knocked to the ground that It is automatic pilot for me to dig in and hang on.. else I would be burried .. I have to keep telling myself that things will be better .. I have too..we all do!
