Stale Air ?
« on: 14/09/2006 17:40:07 »
Hi There,

Im neil...I like this site..I hope to stay !

When you enter a room that may have been closed for many many months......Is it that the air is really stale or that ' stuff ' has polluted it to make it stale.

We've all seen the film clips when people go into places that have been abandoned for years...is the air safe ?...does ' air'  go off ?

Thanks

hugs

neil

I think its both, as dust particals settle in that air and begin to smell as well. the air you would think would also become stagnant because the air contains these things not to mention decaying bugs spiders objects like cloth paper that has been exposed starting to deteriorate ect.. Can you tell my family were packrats, I know the old musty and sometimes dry stale old smell you speak of..It lies in old collections of memorbilia one collects and takes out after years of being stored, try smelling some very old stationary!!the items take on the smell of the rooms air, or the room takes on the smell of the aging items! I am not sure which!

No, it's because air molecules become old.
(relax, I was joking!)

THANK YOU KAREN & ALBERTO ! [:)]

Well, believe me...you do NOT want to visit the room I am in right now. Tonight I helped a Sri Lankan friend of wifeys collect a bed. They rewarded me with some home made Sri Lankan curry !!!.......truthfully....you stick an entire Orchestral Wind section up my arse right now and you have a full blown recital on your hands !!!
