On weather maps, the High and Low pressure regions appear to rotate in opposite directions in the Northern & Southern Hemispheres, due to the Coriolis effect.

However, when you look at them on a globe, you see that in fact they rotate in the same direction - it's just that the weather map is drawn looking down on the weather from the opposite end.

The equatorial constellations are upside-down, when viewed from Australia.
