A cyst type bulk in that area could it be the prostate?

How would those urinary infections manifest themselves? pains, itching or burning urethra, milky pee? Some of those symptoms can result from retrograde flow, but only appear shortly after the "O" and last for 1 or 2 days.
It's a cyst. Two doctors checked it, because I was afraid of cancer.

The UTI's are determined by the doctor (urine check). I know the difference between POIS and an UTI. With UTI I've to go very often to the bathroom.

I have an itching or burning urethra now. But my urine was clean. In august they are going to make an echo of my prostate and a cystoscopy (urethra and bladder).

I'm an electronics engineer, and don't know much about the auto-imune system, but recently did a bunch of reading on the internet. What a system, very complex for my liking. I'm surprised that more things don't go wrong with it. Then to top it all off, the hormonal system is almost as complicated, especially realting to sex it seems.

I wouldn't be surprised if chronic infections in the groin area wouldn't upset the apple-cart enough to cause POIS.

In my case, I am fairly sure that my reveral of a vesectomy (after 20 yrs.) is causing some sort of back-up in the reproductory system that interact with antibdoies that not everybody has.

Could damage in the area from infections create antibodies once semen somehow enters a forbidden part? After which the body's combat caused by these anti-bodies cause POIS.

Well, you're not long from seeing THE Doc, so maybe we will soon know!!

I experience "flashing lights", especially on the same day or day after of the "O" when I am falling asleep.  Does anybody else experience this?  It might have something to do with adrenaline.
I experience this too. Maybe it's migraine?

Retinal migraine?
When I am in my car on the highway at night I sometimes think that the driver behind me has his big lights on. But it's the migraine.

Yes POIS is like an allergic attack.

I can call him tommorow to make an appointment. I hope to visit him this week or next week. Maybe I first have to sign a confidentiality agreement. :)

It's not a headache, it feels like my head is on fire though, and only occurs while im falling asleep, I see sudden flashes of white light and wake up.  This only happens in POIS.

Have you had an EEG? Sounds a little bit epileptic, but I don't know very much about it.

You will probably get a curative treatment, but no one will be allowed to disclose the ingredients!  [;D]

Please note: You may ask Vandemolen for the key to this cabinet, but he will first ask you to sign a very lengthy agreement. Please have a psychopharmacological-attorney and an official international notary public with you  at all times. And it is forbidden to duplicate the key!!! (Severe penalty, possibly death by firing squad). The Forum thanks you for this minor inconvenience.

I apologize if what I said came off as 'there's no need  for us to research anymore' as it was not the intent! Considering this is significant new information and this is a forum I thought we could discuss Waldinger's memo. Coincidentally, the more I analyze his wording the more reason there appears for us to continue researching.

Thank you, Limejuice!! (But no need for apology!)

If he [Waldinger]does have a cure, then our job will be to help guide others to it. We are still a beacon for those who think they are dying of something.... alone. And even though he may find a cause and cure, there will still be many out there looking all over the internet for an answer.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SAYING THAT, daveman!

We are indeed a beacon!

As an example, sad to report, we have had several forum members here who were so desperate from POIS that we recommended a suicide hotline. In fact, I think that it's worth re-printing below!

In terms of reasearchers do we want to wait for dr waldingers article or do we want keep looking. When sending out letters do we want to mention dr waldingers progress.

Hey Gang, its been a long time since I've posted. I wanted to bring you up to date on my personal findings to see if they can help any of you.

1) My POIS seems to be auto-immune in nature, by taking 5mg of prednisone before I am intimate seems to help quite a bit

2) My testosterone *seems* to be fine, same with prolactin, even so, bromocriptine seemed to have a beneficial effect, perhaps due to the increase in dopamine.

3) DHEA supplementation does help, although on occasion it seems to cause temporary nephritis that is very painful.

4) Half of a tramadol tablet helps with its euphoric properties as well as its immidiate effect on serotonin/nor-epinephrine inhibition

5) Vitamin D results were extremely low which are common with auto-immune syndromes. Supplementation has helped.. slightly.

6) Forcing aerobic exercise to the point where I sweat profusely helps with recovery time significantly. Due to the malaise and lethargy, I've found that nicotine gum provides the temporarly stimulus to exercise to get to this point.

7) Yohibine extract had at one point helped quite a bit, (which is why I no longer posted) however, it appears that this eventually weakens the muscles (at least for me).

8) Magnesium maleate seems to help with muscle and joint pain and recovery.

That's it for me, hope it helps someone out there.

Very Exciting news! I cant wait for relief!
My problems are complex, involving long term lyme disease and CFS [chronic fatigue syndrome], and having pois as a part of this really makes life quality poor. I am a postive person, and have thrown everything at this problem, but nothing has helped for the pois.
THANK GOD I HAVE A WONDERFULLY UNDERSTANDING WIFE, CHILDREN AND FAMILY! I printed out the Dr's letter last night, and had my wife read it...we both cried last night in bed....
Thanks goes out to ALL who have posted on here, and offered advice and encouragement.I found this thread after months of looks for answers....THANK GOD FOR YOU ALL!! Every doctor i have described the symptoms to all thought i was nuts...
It seems the body responds poorly to the act, and instead of it being a good, pleasurable experience, it makes it a negative, very bad response.
Thank you DR Waldinger, we axiously await your fidings...May I be your 1st guinea pig??lol
