hello everyone.
has anyone tried resveratrol ? One member has very good results with resveratrol. i have not tried it. i am going to try it . tomorrow i may buy it. in the past in this forum some users reported success with blueberry juices, etc. blueberry juice contains resveratrol. i think it is worth to try resveratrol.
I am trying resveratrol now. 200mg / day. Its too early to report anything as I've only been on it less than a week, but so far this week has been pretty good for me, but then I have recently started a few other supps too like Mucuna Dopa and Sulbutiamine. Last year I took the herb Japanese Knotweed and my pois was  improved over that period, but I was still feeling pretty lousy. What is complicating things for me is that I have been diagnosed with Lyme disease. I was taking the Japanese Knotweed for this. it is very high in resveratrol. It sis supposed to be improve blood flow and be anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory. I am trialling resveratrol for the moment to see if I still get the same effect for less $.

I had reported in a past post that blue berries had helped to alleviate the impact of pois somewhat for me. They were no cure by any means but just helped with cognition + libidio bounce back + energy. For many years the effect seemed to have disappeared but when I switch to organic blueberries a few years back I noticed feeling better after eating them again, but not to the extent I did when I was younger. The brand of Japanese Knotweed tincture I used was from beneficialbotanicals, if you feel the resveratrol is helping a little and want to see if maybe JK might be better still.
Acronym sorry to hear about your lyme disease.I am going to order resveratrol today.it make a 2 or 3 days to reach my home. I will report how i feel with resveratrol. I am getting zenith nutritions resveratrol.

Dear friends,

It has been ~4 years since I found this forum... I have POIS since I was 13 years old;
Now I am almost 36.

That syndrome hit me very hard over the years, the usual symptoms, brain fog, muscles pain, headaches, exhaustion, memory issues and many others... till it became chronically.

Over the years, I tried so many treatments, unfortunately - with very slight success.

Fortunately, I have found a doctor that treated me for the last 2 months and the results were unbelievable, my POIS is almost 100% gone.

Personally, I would like to connect any of you that is interested with that doctor that changed my life. I see it as a mission, as something that I must pay it forward since I know how much suffer and frustration are involved

If any of you is interested in details you are welcome to contact me in private,

Take the best care, Janiv

Hey Janiv. That's so wonderful to hear you are now in the land of the normal after 23 yrs of suffering. You don't have to give out the doctor's details in the public forum, but you can't tease us like that with no details on the cure.
Tell us how he did it and what was the logic behind his theory?
Did the turn around happen pretty much from the start of treatment or did things only turn around in the last few weeks?
Do you need to continue with this treatment indefinitely?

hi I'm new to this forum and like other poisers who discovered this site I too am very happy to find people with the same condition as I have. my symptoms include extreme fatigue, mental dysfunction( lost concentration and sense of reality), deppression, headache, irritability, and muscle weakness. the pain would last for 5 days with the first 2 days the most agonizing. i've been written up in my job for missing a lot of days in a month when this affliction strikes at me. im scared to drive my car and am always worried when im at the longest days of my abstinence. niacin helps me for my 1st day by saving 80% of my mental condition. the 2nd day i always have headaches. my doctor gave me vitamin d with calcium but it doesnt help. last week he gave me tramadol and cialis which i havent yet tested because i wanted to wait for my next ne. like a ticking bomb i would loose my job anytime and am desperate what to do. then again reading some of the pages of this inspiring site gave me another hope.

Ideally, combine a whole food multivitamin with blueberries AND resveratrol.
Martin Pall wrote quite a bit about the benefits of polyphenols such as quercetin, curcumin, resveratrol and pterostilbene towards treating fatigue diseases that he thought were caused by decreased Nitric Oxide and increased peroxynitrite. Given the importance of NO towards dilating blood vessels in orgasm, it's possible the 2 are related. I believe they are but I could never prove it.

I found this http://townsendletter.com/FebMarch2010/cureNO0210.html
very interesting when I read it early last year.

Pall believes chronic fatigue is one of a number of inflammatory illnesses caused by NO/ONOO imbalance producing dizziness, brain fog, fatigue, weakness etc.. I've always been a bit wary by the number of supplements he recommended and I think there's a missing link of mitochondrial dysfunction.
Still, his treatment can be summarised as multivitamin (make sure you have adequate vitamin D), antioxidants & polyphenols.

Good luck!

Hey fellas
I had a new experience. Felt much lesser of POIS. Normally i ejaculate within 5-10 mins of sex( masturbation). Now this time I had ejaculated after half an hour. And wolla .. very less POIS. This time POIS didnt disturb much of my daily life.. very less brain fog, very low fatigue, and no flu like symptoms.

I think POIS can be a problem that is caused when body is unable to switch off from sex. When ejaculate quickly, POISer's body does not switch off sex like normal men and making one feel POIS symptoms. But when ejaculate taking longer time,POISer's body almost switch off from sex.

This is just a theory. It may not be the absolute truth behind POIS. Please share your views. Also if possible share your experinece if this works for you.

My pois is receding, now I feel the same after ejaculation except for poor erections for 10 to 24 hours after and like 3 hours of some extra difficulty concentrating. I do still have the general lack of motivation and to a degree some concentration issues independent of ejaculation, my memory has never been very good either for a long time now that I think about it, sometimes I feel I have a mini alzheimers. Also,  ejaculating at night gives me terrible insomnia and I feel somewhat energised after a couple of hours but this only happens at night. I can't ejaculate mlre than once a day without crashing. It is a bit frustrating that my neurotranssmiter issues are taking so long to recover from because my performance is diminished. Everyone that knows me in real life thinks it is an attitude issue, it is all in your head BS.Why cant they understand that I am not in control and not everything is my fault pisses me off.

I learned a new trick, after months of doing kegels (rather inconsistenly Im ashamed to admit) I have learned to orgasm without ejaculation, its very hard though. You basically have to contract your pelvic floor muscles VERY HARD when you reach the point of no return and hold the contraction for a long time, 5 minutes approx., I used to let go quicker of the contraction at first and failed, it is great, no POIS, just hard as hell to achieve.

Hello everyone!

Here is what cures my POIS in 1-2 days:

I noticed that whenever I eat a few beef wraps with jalapeņo peppers (either fresh or pickled), my brain fog reduces more rapidly. It has worked for me every time.

I noticed this about last year that whenever I ate the Subway steak & cheese with "lots" (7-12 slices) of jalapeņo and banana peppers and some veggies on it, my POIS would go away in a day or two. Taking a nap after few hours helps a lot too. So I decided to see if it has to do anything with beef and jalapeņo, and I tested it with just beef and jalapeņo wraps. It has worked in the same way.

Jalapeņo seems to increase blood flow in brain... and beef has lots of... anyways, give it a try and let me know if it works for you too.

So far my ultimate remedy is: 3 wraps/meal & 3 meals/day & (1 or 2 naps/day) & do it for 2 days. (avoid sugar!)

The million dollar question remains the same...
Why do we have such elevated prolactin levels after orgasm? Is it really an allergic reaction? Is it a faulty gene (which is BS, since we didn't have POIS the very beginning we started to ejaculate in our youth) or is it an epigenomic process that we could turn OFF? Is it psychological and the feeling of guilt that we are not aware of, but happens subconsciously? How many more years do we need to suffer and how many relationships, marriages and stable jobs have to be ruined?

How do you think people, Professor Barry Komissaruk find the cause of this syndrome? I doubt that the psychologist can help us.

I'm afraid I don't know how to help you. I am just becoming familiar with the POIS problem. Research is required to understand what causes it. I am doing research on it, but I do not have any answers yet.

Barry R. Komisaruk, Ph.D.

Kima, we have to believe! Nobody except Dr. Barry is trying to understand the cause of pois. I hope he can to find the cause and on the next step he will find treatment.
