Are bird brains structure differently to human brains?
« on: 06/07/2016 11:50:01 »
zAndroid Neox  asked the Naked Scientists:
Are bird brains (e.g. Corvids) structured differently from ours?

Humming birds subsist on nectar & pollen? High energy. Their brains must do a huge amount of information processing. Tiny eyes but excellent vision.

Flying creatures' brains will have strongest evolutionary pressures on size & mass, while demanding lots of information to be processed in complex ways, very fast.
