Can stem cells cover scars?
« on: 20/12/2016 09:38:22 »
Linda Mingus asked the Naked Scientists:

I've had a large surgical scar on my elbow for about 40 years. Will stem cells be able to cover the scar or grow new skin?
What do you think?

I don't think so. Recent advances in regenerative medicine treat unhealed wounds. Yours is a healed wound.
