I just spent twenty minutes on a small dissertation on everything I know about X-rays (it wasn't very long).  I don't know what I touched, but it went away.  Fast.

Here is a link I found that will probably help more than my babbling, though it doesn't cover as much ground.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your class project.  (Don't push the wrong button before you save.) [:)]

Hi Emma

have a look at :

http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/articles/article/bobburycolumn5.htm

http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/articles/article/bobburycolumn6.htm

http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/articles/article/bobburycolumn7.htm

which, in turn, cover how x-rays work, how CT and other nuclear medicine scans work, and finally MRI and ultrasound.
