At the moment our thoughts are safe, but with the ability to transpose thought, is there is cause for worry?
Is there a difference between imagining doing something and thoughts that actually get you doing something, other than whether the brain impulses are sent to your limbs to do them or not?
Can someone monitoring my thought patterns see the difference?

Nobody is monitoring your thought patterns, nor would there be any point in doing so. Teachers, advertisers, priests and  politicians mould and control everyone's thoughts on an industrial scale of efficiency, and if your deviant thoughts lead to deviant actions, they imprison or kill you.

I forgot. Facebook monitors your thoughts, but only if you let it.

Time was when I was being monitored by Special Branch on account of my rational and informed view of the UK as a nuclear weapons base. It was a bit clumsy at first, but for many years I never received a scam telephone call - well worth your tax money, thank you everyone!

The Anti-EU majority is a bit slim, but growing throughout Europe, so nobody is quite sure what constitutes a deviant view - yet. But the EU is not tolerant of dissent, which is why so many UK politicians are in favour of a second referendum, in the hope of pleasing their masters.
