Can we use weeds to sequester CO2?
« on: 07/10/2019 11:24:20 »
Paul is wondering...

How do trees sequester CO2? Do weeds sequester CO2? Weeds seem to grow faster than trees - can we use them to extract CO2 from the air?

What do you think?

What would we do with them once they grew?

The trouble with weeds is that they are pretty much useless by definition.

Sweet potatoes grow like weeds around here.
After they grow, you could eat them!

Other ways of releasing the CO2 back to the air are available.- for example

Personally I only use them at mealtimes. Actually I use bibs, as mine dont like snoods - you can buy ones that do up with velcro so you dont even have to pull it over their head.
