What device can be used to ensure high throughputs when filtering viscous Proteinaceous samples?

Have you ever tried syringe filters? It can obtain High throughputs. But this is for laboratory use. If you have a great amount of liquid to be filtered, you need to choose other devices like filter cartridge or something like that.
