Is there any nutritional value in the water used to steam/boil vegetables?
« on: 30/01/2020 16:43:26 »
Andrew asked on twitter:

After cooking vegetables, the water in the pot is dyed the colour of those vegetables. Would there be significant nutritional value in drinking the water?

Thoughts?

I think you should keep in mind the amount of salt that may have been added to the water if you are going to use it as a basis for soup
