Could you make electronically sensitised gloves?
« on: 28/08/2020 11:37:27 »
Paul says:

I've noticed that sometimes when I pat out cat the hair seems soft but at other times it can feel a bit more coarse. When I detected that difference in fur quality, I am wondering how the signal to my brain was different. If it was and could be detected could it be replicated in a pair of electronically sensitised gloves? Medical staff are now being trained using holograms. With sensitised gloves could they get sensations sent to the brain which replicate an actual feeling of a body organ or whatever they are trying to operate on? If they wore some sort of helmet with sensors could smell signals be 'wi-fied' direct to their brain? In other words I am trying to simulate as "real" an experience as possible.

What do you think?
