Can you increase serotonin through your diet?
« on: 14/09/2020 15:37:06 »
John says:

Medical treatment for depression is often centred around SSRI medication. (selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors). Why do we simply not try to increase the amount of serotonin in the body through diet? For example choosing foods with higher tryptophan and niacin content, both of which are precursors for serotonin.

What do you think?
