With Boris Johnson and my ridiculous president infected with COVID-19, this same thing happened 100 years ago. David Lloyd George and President Woodrow Wilson were infected with H1N1 in 1919, and both survived it. (Wilson died of a stroke five years later).

But quite  a lot of other people were- and were killed for it by the original "ANTIFA"- the allied armies in WWII.

I don't have a problem attributing that word to the leader of my government, but I think you do wrong it attributing it to yours.

The old-style fascists were at least efficient and decisive. Ausgehverbot meant verbot. Our current excuse for a government can't even get the trains to run on time, and whilst a pub cannot open to serve you a cold pie and a pint, a hot pie served with salad and chips is officially a meal so it can stay open.

The good news is, of course, that COVID is only infectious after 10 pm, by order of HM Government. The next exciting phase is to find out whether the virus responds to British Summer Time or GMT.

To be fair, notwithstanding the usual "factoid", neither did Mussolini nor Hitler.
They just had anyone who said the trains did not run on time shot.

Probably a lot cheaper and easier.
