wow really? i didn't know that. that's pretty cool
There are 6 x 1023 molecules of water in about 18cc of water.Wine glasses apparently have a capacity between 120 to 410cc (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wine_glass#ISO_Wine_tasting_glass [Links inactive - To make links active and clickable, login or click here to register]), and thus between 40 x 1023 and 137 x 1023 molecules of water. Each molecule of water contains 3 atoms (two hydrogen, and one oxygen), so a wine glass contains between 120 and 410 x 1023 atoms. The world oceans contain about 1,300 million km3 of water (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_(molecule)#Water_on_Earth [Links inactive - To make links active and clickable, login or click here to register]). There are 1012 cc in 1km3; thus in 1,300 million km3 there are 1.3 x 1021 cc, which amounts to about 6 x 1018 wine glasses, which is about 2 million times smaller than the number of atoms in a wine glass.
...that there are more atoms in a glass of water than there are glasses of water in all the oceans of the world !
Neil,Take off your garter belt and go to bed and just sleep it off as ewe normally due.
Neil can't come to the Forum right now...he's gone to bed to count himself
REALLY!Did you know there are fewer atoms in a jigger of scotch than there are dead bottles of scotch in Neil's or Dr. Beaver's gardens?
Hee Hee hee! LOLThey can you know have you heard about the new pill for men! LOL
I actually did know that.
Did ewe know there is more hair (in numbers) on a square inch of sea otter than on a whole human head !!...did ewe know that ?..did ya ?..eh ? eh ?...also....that sea otter hair is the most densest hair of all the mammals !!...Did ewe know that ?...did ya ?
