Oesophagus: Squamous carcinoma

A 1942 autopsy specimen from a 71 years old man who had had difficulty in swallowing solid food for nearly three months. During the week preceding his death he had been unable even to drink milk or other fluids. He was found dead in bed, having throughout refused medical attention.
