PRODUCERS / PRESENTERS – SCIENCE RADIO – FULL TIME
The Naked Scientists are looking for science radio producers and presenters to work in our Cambridge-based team.
We have some exciting new projects and programmes on the way, and we are looking for fun, enthusiastic and energetic people to work with us as science broadcasters and podcasters, and in online media, initially over a 12 month period.
Applicants must have a passion for communication and ideally a science background; you should be willing to learn, to work flexibly (reflecting the demands of live radio), be a strong team player, comfortable with short deadlines, well organised and have a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Your track record
Applicants should be familiar with digital media, and evidence of prior involvement in journalism, or science communication initiatives, including through the creation of a personal blog, participation in outreach events or the production of magazines, podcasts and radio shows, will be regarded favourably. While experience in these and related aspects of science journalism is desirable, on-the-job training will be provided and we relish the opportunity to support your professional development.
