Nasal Spray...why discard after four weeks ?
« on: 20/05/2004 12:09:33 »
Hello Lovely Medical people,

I'm still suffering this awful cold (but do feel a lot better)..and I've had to use some nasal spray........can you enlighten me and my nostrils why I have to discard the spray after four weeks ?

Is it purely because after ramming it up my nose it accumulates my nosey stuff and it's just a matter of hygeine ?..if so, would not a daily dose of boiling water cure that ? (on the spray..not my nose !!)..if not, is it because there is a chemical change in the spray that either reduces it's effectivity or can it actually be dangerous to use after the four weeks ?

cheers...my nose thanks you.
