Charlotte Birkmanis

As a shark scientist and ‘Public Relations Manager’ for sharks and other misunderstood predators, Charlotte spends a lot of her time in or on the ocean, talking about wildlife and walking her dog - not usually at the same time. Charlotte completed her internship with the Naked Scientists in 2021, and recently finished her PhD research on sharks where sharks are, why they are there and how their numbers change over time (kinda like time travel). As well as being is a published author and a Superstar of STEM with Science and Technology Australia, Charlotte is also an Australian STEM Ambassador who regularly chats about wildlife and our oceans on film, social media, academic and school presentations and at public events such as Fringe World Festival.
