The windows of opportunity for the kidnapper would be zero.



This would save police time as well so they can pursue really crimes like hate speech on twitter.

We're told 97 percent of scientists agree the world is made hotter by humans burning fossil fuels. Less well-known is the fact that number was conjured into being by having a team read the abstracts, which is to see just the front pages of nearly 12,000 scientific papers dealing with climate change. 3,896 were judged as blaming humans for the changes, 7,930 didn't endorse a position, 78 exonerated humans altogether, and the final 40 were unsure. This meant 32.6% of the scientists held humans to blame. Only when the decision was taken to discard, simply to chuck in the bin, the nearly 8,000 papers with no position whatsoever was 32.6% magically transformed into 97%. What a scam.

Oh, brace yourselves, for we are once again graced with the all-mighty "97 percent of scientists agree" chant! Cue the dramatic music! But guess what, folks? This magical number didn't just fall from the sky, oh no! It was summoned into existence by the wise ones who decided to play a little abstract peek-a-boo with 12,000 climate change papers. I mean, who needs to read the whole thing when the abstracts hold all the secrets, right?

Oh, those precious 3,896 papers had the nerve to point fingers at us mere mortals for making the world hotter. How dare they! But hold your applause, 'cause a staggering 7,930 papers were too cool to take a stand. They were probably sipping pi?a coladas on some tropical beach while the planet heated up!

Wait, wait, here comes the highlight! 78 papers, yes, just 78, played hero and cleared us of all guilt. Hallelujah! We are absolved! But wait, there's a cherry on top: 40 papers were caught sitting on the fence, forever undecided. Must be tough being so indecisive in the world of climate science!

Now, get ready for the real magic trick. Poof Those undecided papers vanish into thin air! Abracadabra! And voil?! Suddenly, 97 percent consensus is born, like a phoenix rising from the ashes! It's a miracle, folks!

So, let's give a round of applause to the masterminds behind this statistical circus. They've managed to turn a bunch of indecision and uncertainty into an awe-inspiring 97 percent! Bravo! But, hey, who needs accurate data and genuine consensus when you can have a grand spectacle like this, right? Climate change might be serious, but let's not forget to enjoy the show!

This video has given rise to a wave of opinions in the field of ufology.

It’s a mysterious recording of an alleged UFO that landed in Saudi Arabia. The video quality is pretty decent and not too distorted or moving.

In the video at the end of the article, you can clearly see how a flying object lands in the desert.

Shortly after, something like a ramp opens from the UFO, after which you can see several shapes of unidentified entities descending from the inside.

Before long those creatures re-enter the UFO and take flight at a rate impossible for current technologies in our world.

Strangely, one of these creatures remained on Earth. At the end of the movie, you will see how this alien continues to investigate the surroundings.

 Don’t know if this video is real.... But one thing is sure: this video needs our attention and further study.

In the novel Currents of Space By Isaac Asimov the element Carbon in space could act as a nuclear catalyst and caused Florina's Sun to go nova.

In chemistry catalysts are used to lower the energy or improve the conditions under which chemical reactions can occur.

While I understand this was fictional the question is why have physicists not tried to discover some kind of nuclear catalyst to lower the Coulomb potential for fusion to occur more easily?

At  the moment they are doing a hard slough for 'always 30 years away' nuclear fusion and reached a dead end.

This is a question that has been asked for quite a while and the answer has been confirmed funded by A CDC study.

Here is a brief summary.

Though the study’s authors tried their best to minimize the link, they were unable to sidestep a “positive association” between “vaccine-related aluminum exposure” and “persistent asthma” in children aged 24-59 months. Overall, children in the study who received 3 milligrams (mg) or more of vaccine-related aluminum had a 36 percent higher risk than children who took other vaccines to develop persistent asthma

Note that a true vaccine-free placebo was not used in the study so as to make aluminum appear less damaging than it actually is. Had the study authors compared vaccinated children to unvaccinated children, the health risks associated with aluminum exposure would have been even more striking.

 CDC did not use a true placebo for comparison, and also used the least offensive hazards ratio in the study’s abstract so as to make aluminum appear much less dangerous.

“A true comparison should be [done] between the maximum aluminum exposure at 2 years of age (which is about 4 mg total injected aluminum adjuvant) and a zero-exposure group,” Hooker is quoted as saying.

“In the paper I did with Neil Miller (SAGE Open Medicine, 2020), we saw an odds ratio of 4.49 (statistically significant) for asthma in vaccinated children versus unvaccinated children. This was limited to vaccines in the first year of life. The CDC seems to be confirming my results here.”

Technology / Why not tarmac all of it?

I just watched a programme in which a pilot managed to overshoot a runway because of wind and used a shorter runaway because the pilot could not be bothered to do a another approach to a longer runway.

In a brilliant moment of brilliance it occurred to me why not just tarmac the whole airport and do away with runways altogether. A pilot can then use his discretion to land in any direction at any time.

Also no more holding patterns which waste fuel and cause air traffic congestion and thus reduce fuel costs too.

New Theories / Can you trust temperature measurements made by Climate Change 'experts'?

As someone with a Physics degree who works in commercial HVAC control, temperature is NOT a simple thing to measure ACCURATELY. Besides the usual things like calibration of your sensors (and what method they use that can affect their accuracy across ranges of temperatures), temperature is not a static/homogeneous thing.

Even in a small, closed system with lots of circulation and control who's INTENT is to homogenize it (like a room with AC), there are gradients and fluctuations over time, up to several degrees, across that space (even when a space is "satisfied" and no active heating or cooling is going on).

So your reading of "the temperature" is a single point of data is just that (which is also why location of your thermostat is critical to proper operation of the system).

Knowing this, I have always been extremely skeptical of any measurement of "the temperature" of the Earth's atmosphere or land seas or land. It's totally fake.

 You cannot convince me that thousands of temperature sensors across the globe represent reality in any scientifically meaningful way:

1. Calibration is SO critical and something that can be done wrong very easy. Standards have changed and you are talking about countless ones done by countless entities that probably have NO true verification method other than their certificates that mean bunk. MAYBE if all sensors went through the same place with the same standard we might mitigate some variables there but they do not.

2. These sensors have varied in location AND quantity of the years of record. If one can't see the obvious problems with this alone...

3. Not enough data points. The average space between sensors is impossibly big. Way too much unmeasured data in between.

 Temp gradient and changes can be wildly different between points which simply means you fail to capture the full picture of what is going on, regardless of any math models are used to "fix" that problem (estimations).By different people/teams.


These problems are sufficient, imo, to cause error in the data sets greater than the numbers we are concerned with (global temp changes of a few degrees).

Also most sensors are in the west with the Pacific largely bereft and don't give me satellite measurements which are fake .
How can you tell the temperature at 400 meters and 800 meters and 1600 meters or any value at height X if your looking from above or even sideways?

It's more like corrupt Scientists driven by political agendas waving magic wands of theories and man made math to attempt to have certainty where no certainty is possible (right now).

Perhaps in the future they will, but right now the data set is a highly curated set of garbage (a polished turd).

Also Earth is a very dynamic Three Dimensional object 8000 miles across and anyone claiming to measure the temperature is a liar or delusional.

I have windows 7 32bit on SSD1 and installed 64bit Windows 8.1 on SSD2.

I have over 300 programs on windows 7 SSD1 and instead of re-installing every one Can i just copy paste the whole programs folder from windows 7  on SSD1 into the programs folder on windows 8.1 on SSD2.

Also copy/paste desktop from users on win7 to users on windows 8.1



Please don't tell me to install windows 10 11 or 12.because I DON'T want to.

Why has no pill been invented to stop menstruation which causes real pain and inconvenience to 3 billion women incapacitating them for 2 weeks.

It is well known women suffer from pain ,cramps and become very cranky ,ill tempered and difficult to live with and consume 15 billion pads monthly which pollute the planet.

Also men are deprived of a vital service for those 2 weeks and deprived of pleasure of Women's bodies which makes them do sexual assault due to reduced self control caused by their libido.

Hence a Pill which stops this awful thing from happening needs to be invented urgently and the question why has it not?

Just Chat! / Can I take Zinc from filling pure zinc metal

I want to take zinc supplements to keep myself safe from horrible diseases and i have bought 180 tablets of 500mg zinc citrate which states it has 30 mg of elemental zinc.

This cost 12 pounds!

You can take up to 100mg daily. This means this will only last 180/3 =60 days. If i share with family it will last only 10 days!

I don't want o spend any more money on zinc supplements. i am very tight fisted.

I want to know instead of wasting money on zinc citrate if I can buy pure zinc and then use a abrasive file on the pure zinc to make small particles of zinc of mass 30 mg to 100 mg which i would then swallow with water or a smoothie?

This will save me money and a single sheet of 200 grams will last much longer.

If I have an injection I pass out

It's a good idea to tell the nurse/doctor about that before giving you the injection - so they don't panic, call an ambulance, etc.

Personally, I prefer to look the other way when people stick needles in my arm...

if I wait 15 minutes and then press on the injection site once more I pass out once more

I suggest that you don't do that.

They need to get through a lot of injections every hour, and if you consume the attention of one medical professional for 30 minutes, that is 5-10 people who are going to miss out on their vaccination.

Space Elevators at the current level of materiel science are not possible due insufficient strength of the tether.
Also very expensive.

Why not use super powerful Magnetic Fields?

Helmholtz Coils when a current is passed thru them show a uniform field between the two.

2 coils a meter in diameter each will have a roughly uniform field between them if the coils are separated by a meter.

Now if the one of the coils is 500 kilometers wide and lying flat and the other coil is say a 1/2 a kilometre wide
either with a current passing thru it or permanent magnets it can be repelled into space up to a distance of about 500 km into space.


One coil flat on the ground and the other coil being the ship/payload.

What you would do is have is a huge square or round grid (500 miles by 500 miles)  in the Sahara or a desert in Utah with thousands of amps of amps flowing through it while the craft is going up.

The force would be F= B  I  L . 

The craft which will be a smaller version of the grid on the Earth (plus payload) will have the opposite magnetic field and repel itself away. (Or use permanent opposite polarity magnets).

The large size of the grid in the desert means the field will be nearly uniform 500 km into space.

Also no moving parts. Will cost only 0.01% of the space elevator or less.

E.g. The electric or magnetic field between 2 large parallel sheets of metal is roughly uniform hence similar for electric or magnetic fields. (Helmholtz coils).

The reason for the 500 km size of the grid is that the inverse square law will not operate and the field will be roughly constant/uniform between the ground coil and spacecraft coil.

Using giant Helmholtz coils for the magnetic fields. One 500 km helmholtz coil lying flat in the desert.The other smaller one about a 1/2 km wide with payload will be repelled into orbit at least 400 km to 500 km into space.

( Or use electric fields which will not require huge currents but huge voltages).
