Interesting study on 50 active shooting incidents between 2016 and 2017 by the FBI. Armed/unarmed citizens intervened in 10 of the 50 incidents, successfully stopping 8 of them. FBI concludes prepared citizens are an important part of stopping active shooting incidents.
The study also includes a summary of each of the 50 incidents and breaks them down by categories of where they occurred. 7 of 50 in educational environments. 17 of 50 in "common areas".
