We have a 3rd BBC volunteer. Waiting for his permission to tell others. I forwarded to Dr Waldinger.
"Has anyone else benefited from testosterone treatment?" I can be placed in that category []. I use 5mg patches and it has helped me greatly by reducing the symptoms and length of time that symptoms are present.

I got he roids (testosterone), was easy to, told him about pois and showed testosterone test with very low result but still in "normal range'.The only problem is it is compounded at local pharmacy so i hope it is potent. Demograpx how quickly did you notice testosterone helping you. and how do you use it. That makes quite a few of us now!!!Depending on the dosage, it took a few weeks for it to kick in for me. My doctor wouldn't prescribe it to me even though I was out of the reference range and demonstrated POIS is much worse with low testosterone plus I had the symptoms of low T.I take 100mg of test-e P/w putting my bio-available testosterone right in the top 3/4's of the range and tbh I haven't had much shrinkage of my testicles, if you were initially low on testosterone and don't have high e2 my guess would be your libido will be through the roof after it's in your system for a while, for the most part POIS really only lasts for 2-3 days before I'm back to being somewhat functional, hope it works out for you!

One POIS-symptom of mine I didn't mention: On day 1 of POIS I have a very bad digestion. When I go to the toilet I can see exactly what I have eaten the day before. Today was very worse: whole pieces of fish. OK, I didn't chewed very well, I think. But also on the times I chew very good the digestion is very bad.Sorry for this unappetizing update. But I think it's important to describe all the POIS-symptoms.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.
Thank you rock27 for the salt, I've resolved my thirst issue Has someone tried the old remedies described p.429 (quinquina, myrrh...) set aside unsuccessful cold baths ?

John, I found the cure for NE's.Aging []
I should note that these last POIS symptoms were short-lived in duration. After a couple of days (2-3) it came to a head and I felt it strongly in the morning, but then in the afternoon it was gone. This was much faster in recovery than typical. So I suppose it is possible that the cool/cold water bath helped. It is also possible that my immune system is boosted from having a flu shot this year. Has anyone else here had a flu shot? If this helped universally we could be dealing with at a virus or something.
