passed it's peak?...that has been stated for so many years...and yet the world is now flooded with oil.
I believe by then scientists will find a way to replace fossil fuels with any number of potential energy sources.
much like the American protests of the English tax on tea.hope it does not lead to a more violent revolution, as ultimately occured in the Revolutionary war in the US.edit: as i recall, didn't the French lead the US in the demonstration of freedom of the people?and weren't the French helpful in the US revolution?i would personally like to thank the French people for their leadership and assistance to America in the battle for freedom of mankind.

So supporting the American Revolution seemed like a good way to distract the English. Neat tactics.Interesting that none of the countries involved learnt the lesson that people like to feel in control of their own future rather than be dictated to by some faceless entity a long way away (or sometimes quite close by.
to get back to the original question "why can't we have protests like the French?":because you don't have enough Citroens to set on fire.
Taking the p**s at Citroens for low popularity..√

Bend it, you just knock it back into shape. We were once exploring the high French Alps on a remote track of large boulders, in a 4x4 we were driving carefully, stopped to admire the view when there was a loud clattering noise and a 2CV shot past, suspension bouncing, not a care in the world.Forgot, also utilitarian, once followed one that appeared to have a large dog in the back, as we got closer we realised it was a large calf.Very popular, still see a lot of them.
