Apparently fast synaptic inhibition by endocannabinoid (retrograde) signaling may promote synchronized gamma oscillations in hippocampal interneuron networks! Long-range neural synchronicity induced by retrograde synaptic inhibition may be experimental evidence of endocannabinoid-mediated synaptic hypercomputation.
