Hi there.
I'm Pete, and even though I'm not a scientist, I do have an interest in science (even though I did fail Physics, Biology and Chemistry at school), and I like to learn new things.
I'm an amateur astronomer and I learned about The Naked Scientists from the Naked Astronomy podcasts, so I thought I'd come and have a look at the site.

Welcome Pete!
Having a copper-plated education is certainly not a prerequisite here (NtS best not mention my school grades!)
I think you will find many others here who are also interested in home astronomy and may be able to point you in the right azimuth [

Hi everyone. Thanks for the warm welcome.
Yes, Ben. I am enjoying the forum and podcasts very much.
Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to set up some gift bearing sheep traps [
