...What I do know though is that after seeing two people helped by taking ginger around the period of orgasm I decided to have a ginger tea pre-orgasm and post-orgasm to see what impact it had on my mental state. The effects have been profound. Usually I feel lethargic for days following two orgasms in two days, their is no possible way in which I can feel positive socialising in that period, I fall into a discontent state and berate myself for making the decision to orgasm. However, in the last week, I feel no different following an orgasm, my mental state quickly recovers and I can talk to friends just as I would pre-orgasm...
I'm writing because I would like to add to the growing list of members who have found significant relief with GINGER. (fwiw I'm taking it in pill form) Granted, I'd like to put out a qualifier as I only have 3 wks of experience with it and admittedly some products which initially helped me didn't withstand the test of time. But so far, the lethargy, anxiety, brainfog, etc have all been sharply reduced by simply taking it around the time of the O. I will provide a follow-up update, whether it be good or bad, when I have more data points. Thanks to Vincent M (for discovering it), akt1 (for heavily promoting it), & awpirates321 (for providing additional confirmation).
NICOTINAMIDE is the ONLY form of Vitamin B3 effective in treating POIS and is available from Natures Own brand.

Thanks for your report. Looking forward to your update on your ginger trial. I'd like to add that I suspect the most effective way to take ginger is by boiling fresh ginger into a tea. Sometimes I boil fresh ginger then add a pinch of dried ginger powder into the tea as I believe the two forms contain slightly different chemicals.
I know there are several genie reports here on this topic of POIS. I might as well contribute if anyone is interested I but yet understand what this all really means.I do know about the histamine (undermethylation) though, when I certain foods like yogurt, my lips looks swollen like I have an allergy but I know for a fact its not allergy but histamine issue. It would go away after a few hours, same thing with water kefir, pro biotics, and banana.
Update: I've had 5 Os over 3 days with the use of the ginger and astonishingly, I still feel completely fine. I've always thought that POIS was a deficiency in some mineral, which is exacerbated during the release of fluid upon the O. I'm forced to completely re-think that theory now that ginger's anti-inflammatory properties seem to completely block all the nasty effects of POIS.

I like when several have the same result ! I add ginger in my food but I didn't really try to use caps as Pois cure. Thanks !

You can name the company or a link to their website.
Hmm, Ginger seems not to be effective for my Pois. I tried 3 times. I took 1g 30 min before and I didn't feel anything.
Thanks, we know that the remedies we have only work for a part of our group and not for the others. I have to go back to what works for me : taurine/dopamine.This week, I took 500mg of taurine after orgasm and it made a HUGE difference. Amazing.I was really tired last week after orgasm. Today 24 hours after, I have great day with a good energy level to work.
Symptoms related to high noradrenaline: *ED*Excessive wind*Insomnia*Anxiety*Inflammation Symptoms related to low dopamine:*Difficulty concentrating*weak orgasms*low libido*lack of motivation in life What can show in your blood tests:*Slightly low testosterone for your age*Slightly elevated cortisol levels
Yes, this is what I suspect. First, it seems there are different Pois profiles. I should try Quantum pre-pack but it will not work for me. I'm skinny, nervous and I suffer from severe premature ejaculation. I'm a good candidate to be deficient in Gaba. It's like if Gaba slows down orgasms and reduce dopamine conversion to noradrenaline/adrenaline. Catecholamines are present in semen too ("lost" with ejaculation).I often read read muscluation or health topics on the internet dispite you can find a lot of good infos and a lot of bad ones. I found this one :http://www.longecity.org/forum/topic/83876-decrease-noradrenaline-if-you-got-issues-decrease-noradrenaline/Especially Mr. Psychillogical answers :QuoteSymptoms related to high noradrenaline: *ED*Excessive wind*Insomnia*Anxiety*Inflammation Symptoms related to low dopamine:*Difficulty concentrating*weak orgasms*low libido*lack of motivation in life What can show in your blood tests:*Slightly low testosterone for your age*Slightly elevated cortisol levelsIt typically describes Day 0 (high nora) and Day 1~3 (low dopa) Pois cycles. And his "cure" : zinc, taurine, vitamine D, phosphatidylserine (and a med).Zinc is present in semen too.
