The Passage of Time relating to Age.

Do you remember when you were young and Christmas seemed years away or next weeks friends birthday seemed so far away.
Today Christmas seems to be so close and the weeks go by in a flash.. And it gets faster and faster each year, it seems.
Well I have a theory to longer life, or at least making it seem as though it's passing slower.
As a new born develops in to a child, you are learning a huge amount of information, learning to talk, read, build friendships, learning other things at school, riding a bike etc. Everything is new and interesting, there are new challenges and interesting new things to do. The brain, is overwhelmed with information.
As you get older, you get into a routine of doing the same thing over and over again. The same job, the same down the local pub or club at the weekends with the same friends. You just don't have anything new to learn.
So this is my theory. The more you experience the more you remember and thus the slower time is experienced. Therefore the longer you live your life (mentally).
To live longer do more different and interesting things every day and learn more about the world.
What do you think?

If you want your life to seem subjectively longer, only do things that you find boring [

...And its claws are as big as cups, and for some reason it's got a tremendous fear of stamps! And Mrs Doyle was telling me it's got magnets on its tail, so if you're made out of metal it can attach itself to you! And instead of a mouth it's got four arses!
