Geology, Palaeontology & Archaeology / Was the Water Cycle Renamed?

I couldn't remember what the scientific name for the water cycle was when I was talking about it with someone so I looked it up to refresh my memory. When I found the hydrologic cycle I was left scratching my head rather than having my question answered. I could've sworn the water cycle was called hydro-synthesis or something like that. I looked it up but couldn't find any evidence of something like that. I also looked up hydrosynthesis in which completely debunks that term being related to the water cycle, but I can recognize things extremely well so I'm unsure.
I suppose if it were changed it wouldn't be very detrimental to overlook noting the change. Compared to something like the fire triangle changing into the tetrahedron, this seems like a logical excuse, but that's more of an excuse for a game developer and not a scientific study. Maybe it's just been awhile since I first learned about it (considering that I'm a sophomore in high school becoming a junior in a few months) and I'm just putting words in my head to fill in the blanks where they don't belong.
Need a scientist or a historian --or both, that works too.
