Robert Martin Begusch asked the Naked Scientists:
Recent episode "Interview of Memory and Weight Loss" mentioned that the brain region for memory is less active in overweight young people.
Consider this:
Motivation is a common factor to memory and distraction from eating. In my experience, the more motivated people are (psychologically testable), the less they think about food.
Therefore test for this common factor to exclude it as being the common variable or accept it as the common variable.
What do you think?
