Kind of funny, wanted to check
https://pravda-en.com/world/2024/05/06/487739.html
where " May 7, 2024: Russia's Pravda has published a detailed article setting forth what Russian military bloggers who specialize in military matters have reported. The article, in English, is available here. "
But only get " An error occurred during a connection to pravda-en.com. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. (Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG) "
Tested it with three Mozilla browsers and with Microsoft Edge as well as an older version of Safari. Safari said it couldn't find it whereas the rest blamed it on SSL and in Edge's case also an 'insecure link', referring to the SSL protocol?
So the Russian Pravda isn't accessible?
It isn't, maybe with a vpn, setting it to Russia?

Using Brave search it finds it, and put forward text snippets proving that it can read it though. Maybe I should download the Brave browser to see how it will behave.

Don't know what to make of this. It's easy to start to think about keeping ones narrative 'house clean' though. I find it hard to believe that Pravda doesn't know about SSL, or doesn't know how to implement it.

Not that I need Pravda to draw my own conclusions though, but as a sign of the times it's right up in your face

as a 'by note'
The Ukrainian version of Pravda have no problems with SSL.

Let's see, what was it about China and their 'intra net', now again?

There is this
" TLS certificates are used to digitally bind a cryptographic key to an organization's details, enabling web browsers to confirm the domain's authenticity and ensure that the communication between a client computer and the target website is secure.
The proposal comes as companies like DigiCert have been restricted from doing business in Russia following sanctions by Western nations. Cybersecurity firms Avast, ESET, Fortinet, and Imperva have also suspended operations in Russia and Belarus over the Kremlin's invasion of Ukraine."
https://thehackernews.com/2022/03/russian-pushing-its-new-state-run-tls.html
but that one is from 2022

Well, the HTTPS routine isn't really a proof of anything, more than a encryption scheme existing between you versus the site you're interacting with. That's all it can and will guarantee, as for the rest, as a sites credibility etc, HTTP is just as 'secure'

Never thy mind. What it states, no matter what, is that Pravda is inaccessible by all or most Western browsers today. And if you don't get that, well...

This take on it becomes mostly bs to my ears. As you too can issue a SSL, having a server, homegrown certificate. And as the only thing it promise is an encryption scheme existing between two, or more, nodes on the internet. If that node is 'in the middle' it's still the node that sees it unencrypted, and what it does after that, relaying it to some other node, encrypted or not, doesn't really matters, does it?
So, I claim bs

No, this serves another purpose, isolating Internet users. Where those making it possible probably consider it something of a 'win win' situation, each one from different 'narratives'. For what a free internet should stand for it means the opposite though. It's about war and a new type of censor ships, a Internet based one. So it's not only the East doing it.

you're going to war, everything points to it.
You will regret it, and if not you, then those surviving it.

Incredible, isn't it? But I think I will make it a prediction.

It's 2024, did you know?

I'm no expert on sonic weapons, but I find them more fitted for a sci fi. Thinking that Russia runs around targeting American officials with them belongs to a bad sci fi, or futuristic thriller. But I guess it's a easy sale as you seem to think you live inside one? Like with 'aliens' and those jet contrails etc etc etc etc.
You're not going to grow up, ever, are you?

But it is with this as it is with that pipeline sabotaged, and a lot more. They all becomes signs of an impending war, as the hysteria grows.
