New Theories / How does the body know the limit of the wound?
« on: 24/12/2014 23:33:17 »
When you receive a wound the body repairs itself, but how does the body know the true extent of the wound? Why doesn't the body over repair or under repair itself? Can we fool the body into thinking no wound is actually there? If we can provide a sterile environment wouldn't it be better if the body "thought" it was merely replacing cells in a location rather than letting the body mitigate the damage by sealing itself off from the environment and cutting off hope of regeneration? Could we provide a secure environment so that amputated limbs would remain raw and the body using stems cells to fill in missing parts according to the master DNA map?
