Well, I've just been to see it today. I loved it, especially "Bones" and Simon Pegg, although not looking like the old Scotty was really funny. Even the eyebrow man from Heros was good as Spock although I thought it was a bit smoltzy having the old spock talk to the new one. I hope they do more. I thought Kirk wasn't arrogant or fat enough! I guess it is like old Elvis, young Elvis.

I'm not convinced - how can it measure up to the real thing? How can anyone ever measure up to Leonard Nimoy?! Having said that, TNG turned out OK. But Deep Space 9 was pants.

You have to go and see it. I thought the rapore between the actors gave it the same feel as the reel thing (oops sorry I meant the original.) And the guy playing Spock makes a really good fist of it, especially the "fascinating" phrase that Spock so often says.

I've seen it twice now. I'm only a slight star trek fan (go LOTR!), and I loved it. I thought the actors did quite a good job aswell.
Their budget for that movie must have been HUGE!.

It is not the size of the budget but the motion of the starship!
