There's a clear difference between being smart and being wise.

You gene modify, artificially, our current eco sphere to survive, instead of stopping the causes of their degradation. And you find yourself both smart, and profitable. And you will probably try to do the same with our bio sphere

And you know what?
Doing so will become increasingly 'profitable'

And the Mediterranean is at a crisis point today, both when it comes to water and groundwater scarcity, as well as topsoil and temperatures. Those night temperatures rising are both diminishing and destroying crops yields and fruits nutritional values, and that will continue to be so even when we ignore those other factors. So what do we do?
We look for modified crops, fruits, etc. Designed for a world without a future.

If I take the situation in Sweden as a sign, it seems as cheap fruits are a thing of the past. it still exist but the quality of them leaves a lot to ask for. Had to throw away some fruit I bought as they weren't edible. Never done that before.

And looking at that number of kills, it struck me that both Hamas and Israel might have a joint interest in keeping them down. It doesn't speak too well about any of them, does it?

This is what I am expecting.

And it will rise too. There's a threshold for most everything and once it breaks down you will face a flood.

some deadpan humor
" Farhan Haq, a UN spokesperson, said the new smaller numbers reflected those bodies which had been fully identified. The bigger figures included corpses for whom identification has so far not been completed. Haq said it was expected that, as the process of identification continued, the official tolls among women and children would also rise."
If you're dead you are dead, your 'identification' might mean something for those still living, but you're just as dead. And that figure will just rise.
