This is something that has been used for many years very effectively.
The piezoelectric effect has been known to suppress the histemic reaction that causes swelling and itching. It is effective, harmless, and has been shown scientifically to work. I have seen several studies on this showing how it works.
The little clickers you see in pharmacies work almost instantly but normally only on recent bites, stings etc. It does not work so well on older bites.
