Hello Everyone!!! I'm Daedalus. I have been a software engineer working in the casino gaming industry for over 11 years. I've worked for REMOVED BY MODERATOR I have helped in the creation of over twenty games throughout my career.
I program graphic engines, accounting systems, PIC microcontrollers, and probability / par-sheet calculators using C, C++, C# .Net, and some x86 ASM. I mainly do all of my development on Windows using MS Visual Studio, Win32 API, DirectX SDK, ADO and LINQ. But, I also have done some Linux development using Gentoo / Red Hat, GCC along with KDevelop, X Windows, wxWidgets, OpenGL, and OpenAL. I've also programmed some PIC24 microcontrollers, PIC24FJ128GB108 and PIC24F16KA102, from HI-Tech using their C compiler to drive digital / analog inputs and outputs for the switches and lighting systems used by the games.
I've decided to make a career change and pursue a degree in Physics because I love mathematics and would like to apply my computer science and math knowledge to understand the nature of the universe. I am working on a few theories of my own and would like to share them with you all. I realize that my ideas will probably change during the course of my academic studies, but it is always fun to share my ideas with others and gain a better understanding of the universe along the way.
