Anyway to get an iPhone app for this forum???

I was wondering if we could still make changes to our POIS compendium website as currently antihistamines are located in the "unsuccessful remedial methods", but in light of the multiple members who now claim its efficacy in dealing with POIS (including myself) I'd like to see it moved to the "successful" section.
Here is the site I'm referring to: http://sites.google.com/site/poiswebsite/test-page/unsuccessful-methods/antihistamines
In addition perhaps saw palmetto could be added there as well as it has been working well for me for a good number of months and I know there were some others it worked for too.
And Niacin hasn't been added there yet.
"Pyropeach" the Compendium author, is on leave of absence. If you are interested in contributing to the compendium as a "Wikipedia-type" editor, please PM him!
Why I'm I only finding out about this forum eight years after my introduction to this cursed illness. Not just that but also realising that insufficient medical advances have been set in motion, regarding the treatment of this disease. I implore you all, can anyone please provided me with a detailed, up-to-date package of the most effective approaches proposed by either forum members, medical practitioners or research institutions, most considerable for attacking this disease? The forum is almost 600 page long and as such, I am almost incapable of reading it from page 1. I just need an overview from a dedicated visitor who has been in constant interaction with this page to help me out. Thank you.
Hmm, interesting observation here. So I really did not want to go into pois, but I felt really stimulated from some porn so i tried to masturbate as long as I could without ejaculating. When I eventually did, very little sperm came out even though I have been abstaining for like a week. This was because I tried to squeeze my muscles when I climaxed, trying to stop it. I repeated this same technique two more times throughout the day. What's interesting, is the next day my pois symptoms were dramatically reduced. I never learned anything about ejaculating spermless, but it seems like I might have achieved it partially. I on my day 2 and definitely notice less pois symptoms, maybe about 30% left. I'm not sure if I can replicate this technique, but it seem spermless ejaculation may be a solution. I know my pois is not just placebo because I am a gamer and can easily notice changes in my performance.
I would love to study the biological semen regeneration process. That just MAY possibly be the path to a full POIS cure - for some of us!!
Maybe Pyropeach will help me/others take the lazy way out and teach us here? []
Can anyone answer these questions? does anyone else wonder them too?You can't compare the female body with the male body. The male urethra and the vas deferens are not the same as oviduct.
1. Are there any other known allergies that last for 7 days after exposure and have similar symptoms?
2. Why don't women with semen allergies react in the same way as men with POIS?
I'm not saying you could answer them, but maybe speculate...
Seeing the wheal size photographs are convincing in support of the allergy theory.
And women with semen allergy have a few symptoms that are the same as POIS.
All I'm trying to say is this: I do believe we should make extended efforts to develop the auto-immune theory because it is the strongest theory out there. It was developed and carried out by certified experts, valid scientific data was collected, and it is mainly why we FINALLY have the attention of the biomedical scientific community in addition to the media (TLC). There is no one here on this forum unintelligent enough to believe it is impossible to keep multiple theories afloat, to say or imply otherwise is absurd.
Pyro, I agree with what you say, but I'm not sure about the emphasis or weight of alternate theories.
In some ways, we as the POIS suffering community have a vast storehouse of information, experience, and a keener edge on our condition than any single medical researcher/group.
Medical breakthroughs are carried out scientifically, but often begin intuitively. Sometimes even accidentally (Viagra). And, as you know, sometimes hypotheses can be ultimately researched and/or presented as self-fulfilling prophecies.
Has auto-immune been seriously pitted against competing theories? I don't think so.
What can be more comprehensive as well as powerfully intuitive than our collective experiences born of REAL PAIN?
Look at your brilliant Compendium.
Your Compendium is vastly more far-reaching in scope than any single research entity could conduct.
All I'm trying to say is this: let's continue with OUR strength, which is to explore EVERY reasonable angle, based on our real experience.
I acknowledge a great debt of gratitude for the worldwide publicity garnered by recent research. But let's not short-sell our profound knowledge, motivation, and enormous flexibility to perhaps be the frontrunners in the definitive cure of POIS.
Our motivation is the purest of all: WE WANT RELIEF.
This is definitely consistent with the auto-immune theory. Animus, didn't you mention that you can still ejaculate, only much less than before and only experience very mild POIS symptoms?
No. This is not true at all. In fact I have said the just opposite recently in the last few pages. Please check my previous comments.
Besides, we can't be straddling between two theories, lets just pick one and go with it for as long as it takes us.
Personally, I don't think that intellectual method is the route to success. That's groupthink. And it shuts down curiosity and possibility. And, pyropeach, excuse me, but that seems like quite a reversal considering your most previous statements.
Whichever theory you decide to investigate is up to you. We are blessed to have many people on the forum, and this gives us the opportunity to do more than a single researcher can. I think we need to really employ the scientific method ourselves if we are to get anywhere. It should be possible however to keep more than one theory in mind if you use your intelligence.
[Hair] gets flattened on my head and doesn`t stand straight only after a few days.
What do we need to discover to resolve the questions? You, I and the group in general have our layman's views, Waldinger, Bewtra, Goldmeier et all also have theirs. Man I'm tired of it.
What do we need to do to know for sure???
That's not a rhetorical question. Can we make up a list of things that need to be known?
Anybody?
Lastly, pyropeach, to your point, ya, you're right it wouldn't be the regeneration of seminal fluid as we see it, but it would likely by the regeneration of fluid in one of these glands. What if it were only 1 gland that we're allergic to and we could take a special pill to cease production in that 1 gland and all the pain and anguish we've been dealing with for years would just float away, Ahhhhh!!! [] [] []
Pyropeach, wow, just as soon as I thought I was getting a small handle on my own POIS mechanisms, you come along and introduce.....Science!
Sigh....back to the drawing board! []
Sincerely, many thanks for the enlightenment.
Pyropeach, somewhere along the way, I "lost" my sperm count.
But the subjective feeling of "regeneration" is still the same.
Would you explain that as illusory on my part? (And I take absolutely no offense at all if that is what you believe).
Similarly, one can see my solution in terms of the allergy theory- in that semen elimination took away the allergen...?
Animus, do you see any connection between your surgery = 100% POIS-free and my TRT = 80% POIS-free?
(Keep in mind my 'mysterious' Zero-sperm-count - a mystery as to when it occurred).
Demo,
I've thought about this a little more...
One possible explanation is that we cannot efficiently or healthily produce the semen which we've lost due to ejaculation.
Once the semen is ejaculated, it may cause the body to go into semen replacement mode (I do not know if this is true). However, if it were true, and semen replacement is the issue, maybe something which helps semen replacement also helps alleviate POIS. Perhaps the Testosterone therapy for you, helps with your semen replacement.
And for me, the surgery removed my ability to produce and ejaculate semen, so my body no longer replaces it.
Not producing sperm anymore could be lessening your POIS too because you're not replacing that either.
Amazing! Your considerations above go a long way to confirm my longstanding hunch that my POIS is somehow related to my semen regeneration speed: in my depth-of-POIS-agony days - for 30+ years - my regen speed was like molasses. With testosterone treatment, my regen speed is RAPID, and my POIS has been whittled down drastically!
Just my hunch.
Well, you don't regenerate at all...
Sorry to disagree, Dave, but I most certainly DO regenerate...............semen!
And the process certainly feels absolutely identical to my "sperm generation days".
The key is that when I feel "FULL" (analogous to a car's tank of gas), I am POIS-FREE. And this holds true equally with my sperm-semen as well as my zero-sperm-semen eras.
I can say this unequivocally because I have been observing it for 35 years.
All observed during high fertility years (I have 2 strapping grown men for sons), and all during testosterone treatment, and all during whatever period I lost sperm, evidenced by my recent Semen Analysis Laboratory Report.
I believe that the biological process of semen-only regeneration is identical to semen-with-sperm regeneration.
OK Pyro. I added a link to the compendium in the Books and References section, AND a thread for suggestions to the Compendium in the "General Suggestions" area.
I added notification of this in the news box which appears in the upper right once you open the "Header" area with the little arrow on the left under the page title.
I'll have important test results very soon...
I defiantly look forward to seeing them.
Forgive me, I couldn't stop myself! []
I'll have important test results very soon on the specific IgE antibodies to seminal plasma proteins, which is seen in women with seminal plasma hypersensitivity.
For the last 2.5 months I've worked with Dr. Bernstein and the University of Cincinnati Allergy Laboratory.
The results might find a place in the compendium, I defiantly look forward to seeing them.
Something I wanted to bring up before is my somewhat effective use of Chinese medicine. While in China, the Chinese doctor told me my kidneys are weak and recommended I drink a cup of the following medicine twice a day. 10g cinnamon bark, 10g dried ginger, 10g fresh ginger, and 8 dried dates boiled in a pot until half the water evaporates. After drinking this for a few months now, I have noticed more mental and physical energy that help compensate for the brain fog, anxiety, and overall fatigue.
Pyro, with your permission, I'd like to copy this to the other forum. We've got a special place for successful remedies.
BTW I will also be including a reference to your compendium in our WEB cover page.
Thx.
