Warning - Cybercrime

I'd like to warn everyone here that there's a scumbag out there trying to pass themselves off as Microsoft. If you frequent certain websites, i.e. Putlocker, you will get a pop up claiming to be a warning from Microsoft about a virus they found on your computer and if you don't call them then all your information on your computer will be erased to protect their servers or something just as stupid. The pop up cannot usually be shut down by closing the window. Quite often I have to shut down my browser and restart it. A pain as you can imagine.
I contacted Microsoft and they said its a cybercrime and do NOT call that number. They will most likely try to get personal information.
I contacted my local FBI office about this and the Federal Trade Commission. If you run into this I recommend that you do the same.
