What do male mosquitoes eat?
« on: 27/05/2008 21:02:10 »
Martin Jones asked the Naked Scientists:

If it's only the female mosquitoes that bite, what do the male mosquitoes eat?

Love your show,

They eat nectar from plants - only the females eat blood. Virtually every animal has a host mosquito that lives on it.
