I've been watching the Tour all week, did anybody else notice this moment...

...during the time trial?
I missed this because I was too busy watching Bradley Wiggins and his see through skin suit. I liked the back view best. He was wearing a jock strap as far as I could see. Phwar!
Do you have a skin suit turnipy?

I still have several skin suits. I had one on at the weekend as i'm doing a 50 mile charity ride, a mere formality to somebody like me.

Anyway, today ...

This was just beating against the sliding glass door.
It's a regal moth.

Wow I thought us holding them hurt their body by removing the pollen like colored powdery substance which comes off on your fingers.. I was told that that kills them.. I was always told to lightly cup them in your hand rather then to hold them with your fingertips!

Is that just an old tale or is their any fact to that old piece of advice?

My understanding is the fluff is what keeps them from being caught by spiderwebs and discourages birds from eating them.  Not much came off in my hand, and the moth flew away quite strongly.  It had been beating itself against my windows for a half an hour.

I don't I was more damaging to it than my house. At least I hope I wasn't.

My husband has a fear of moths. If I showed him the above pictures he would scream like a girlie.

Yes I am sure you are right.. Isn't it odd how they do that? They are interesting flutter bugs.. Moth are! Quite a nice looking one!

There are at least ten cicada husks hanging from various parts of my house from where they came out and molted last night.

Not still in a dark room which stinks of hypo ?.
A digital darkroom (computer) can do anything that can be done in a wet darkroom, only quicker and easier ...

The above bias-relief took 30 seconds on a computer rather than 30 minutes, or more, it would have taken in a wet darkroom.
