A quick question. Is there a correct scientific name for sleep? That being the stuff in the corner of your eye when you wake up.

Cheers neil, i see you are having trouble sleeping...again...i knew what the 'sleep' was made up of, but it would seem that there is no specific name for it.  Strange...oops, thanks for that link

    You're welcome Paul.

But I suspect that there must be a term for it...an official one that is...if not...then perhaps you should file to have it named after you !...That's one sure way to achieving immortality !!.............to have ' eye grit ' named after you.  [;)]

Good idea, although i don't fancy being known as the slimy thing you wake up with! I will try and research the correct name, there must be one!

Neil, according to all i have read in the last hour. The net not being 100 percent reliable, there is no official name for the stuff! Any suggestions as to where one would register a name? All i get from google are for domain registrations. Paul

Hey, no problem.  If it can be explained, and a 7 year old can understand it, its my kind of explanation!
