Could it be possible to one day take an x-ray using your camera phone? Then just text them along to your doctor!

Rosalind Franklin was my first cousin and one my life's main regrets is that I never met this brilliant and beautiful lady.
She discovered the Single DNA Helix in 1953, then it was taken by Wilkins without her knowledge or agreeement.

Thanks, but is that not just using your camera phone to take a picture of a developed x-ray? I mean a camera phone that actually takes x-rays.

Getting the sensors to register X-rays is not difficult (they naturally would do so anyway).

The first problem is getting a lens that will focus X-Rays.

The second problem is that you need an X-Ray source.  Light cameras use the sun, or light bulb or flash unit to illuminate the subject, and then focus the reflected light.  With X-Rays, you need some source opf X-Rays (furthermore, having your ordinary member of the public carrying around X-Ray emitters might not be all that safe).
