Dear Diary,
To the woe of all you miscreants, the head miscreant is now returned - BOW BEFORE ME IN AWE!
I am fine and on the way to recovory (I think). At least things are better for me physically now than they have been for a couple of years. Not being one to complain or ask for sympathy from people I know, even if they are very close to me, I usually go through my trials with a very small core of good friends.
When I had surgery to repair a fractured leg two years ago I could not get any strength back. No matter how much I did, I just got weaker. I could not get a physician to listen until last spring when my right leg began going numb when walking. Distances decreased and finally two months ago I saw a vascular surgeon who said "Oh, I know what's wrong. It is causing all of your exhaustion, your lack of mental acuity," blah, blah, ad infinitum. It was causing problems in all parts of my life.
SO, November 7 I showed up at 6 AM for day surgery. After some dye, mumbo jumbo and a voodoo sacrifice, a stint was placed in my 95% blocked right iliac artery and I was sent to recovory - where I started bleeding internally. Day surgery turneed into a week+ of complications, operations, transfusions, unwanted discomfort, and, general grumpyness and ill temper. (I was at the ER a week ago for disolving stitches that didn't disolve but got infected.)
But, as I first said, I am alive, doing better than I have in several years and walking a 1/4 mile a day at present. Before, 50 feet was a struggel.
SO BEWARE!!!!!!
I'm baaaack! - and I'm ....
