Geology, Palaeontology & Archaeology / T Rex soft tissues found!
« on: 28/03/2005 23:13:57 »
In Montana scientists announced this week that soft tissues might have been recovered from inside a 70 million year old T Rex fossil, leading the scienentific community to wonder if we really understand how fossilization works.
MSN ~ "The finding certainly shows fossilization does not proceed as science had assumed, Schweitzer said. Since the discovery, she has found similar samples of soft tissue in two other Tyrannosaur fossils and a hadrosaur. The fossil was dug up out of Montana's Hell Creek Formation, a rich source of fossils. Paleontologist Jack Horner said it was encased in 1,000 cubic yards (metres) of sandstone. "It's a fantastic specimen," he told the briefing."
I was wondering if anyone would like to open up a dialog explaining why (scientificaly) it is possible for soft tissue to survive that long and how it might be reproduced in a lab.
If the multi-verse is a real construct then in some universe Im your God.
