Physics, Astronomy & Cosmology / Polar shifts due to the famed planet Nibiru
« on: 17/11/2008 23:24:14 »
Nibiru, as the ancient Sumerians called it, is what we identify as planet X. I have heard theories that when it passes into our inner-solar system, our magnetic polarity will shift. I understand the implications of the polar shift, but I do not understand why the poles would shift. Someone told me it was because the extra gravitational pull would drag us across the galactic equator. All my astronomy knowlege is self taught and basic, so please someone help me understand.
