Why a sedative overdose?
A sedated child should start peeing green?

Dr Carole Foot, an intensive care specialist at Queensland's Prince Charles Hospital. Foot says urine can provide information about whether patients are taking certain medications or are being over-administered.

For example, propofol, a common sedative in critical care wards, turns urine pink if given in the right dose but green if patients are getting too much.

Ops! I didn't know this.  Me too ignorant indeed!
No drugs in my story anyway, far more common...objects.
BTW, little boy was fine at home, not in a critical care ward!  [;)]

Good show Karen!

It happened even with the common ballpens;
they contain concentrated blue ink as well.
When they start drawing, kids love doing the
strangest things with pencils and felt-tips.
While they 'think' how to create artistic stuff,
some keep their tools in the mouth for hours...
Blue nontoxic ink gets swallowed, absorbed,
filtered and eliminated by the kidneys.

Blue + yellow = GREEN!  [;D]
