Take my photobucket for example. Can I tell whom, or alteast how many people are subscribed to my site? It's quite scary if you think about it?

Thanks Sim  [:)]

If you control a web site, you have logs of everybody who connects to that site, and a fair amount of information about where and how the connect from.  Most of that information can be obscured, with varying degrees of difficulty, but by default, the information is available.

The normal information includes the type of browser the person is using (some browsers will, or can, lie about this), and geographically where (at least approximately) the person is located, and who their ISP is (both of these can be obscured by the use of anonymous proxies).  Have a look at http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm?GetLocation to see what geographic information can be obtained from the web logs.  http://remote.12dt.com/ will tell you who your ISP is (if you are using a school computer, then it will probably come up with the domain name of your school, and you can then maybe follow that up by looking up the website of the school to see where they are).
